A: Any woman who resides in San Diego County. The Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center has assisted women in San Diego County since 2000. If you’re a student attending a college, university, trade school, career training academy or other institution of higher learning in San Diego County – even if you’re not a full-time county resident – you’re more than welcome to schedule an appointment.
A: Our services are provided completely free of charge. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generous donations from individuals and corporations throughout Southern California. Because of our non-profit status, we’re able to offer our entire menu of crisis pregnancy programs, services and medical care for free!
A: We realize that crisis pregnancies impact more than just women. Family members, boyfriends, husbands, brothers, sisters, grandparents and others are affected by a sudden pregnancy. Thus, Turning Point also offers counsel and parenting education programs for women and men. In fact, we recently launched our Brothers in Arms program, an initiative that provides would-be fathers crucial mentoring, employment preparation, parental education and other forms of support. Fatherless children are more likely to be incarcerated than children from homes with two parents, and children who grow up without a dad also experience lower academic achievement, stunted social skills and other negative behaviors and lifestyle results. Similar to our pregnancy services for women, all of our programs for men are also free of charge.
A: Our philosophy is that every child deserves a chance. That’s why we work with adoption agencies throughout Southern California. We provide all women with a strong adoption advocacy network to keep all options on the table. If you’re considering adoption as a possible path for your crisis pregnancy, we can work with you to determine the best decision moving forward.
A: The Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center receives no federal funding. Any public funding cuts for women’s health groups do not impact our ability to serve women in San Diego County. We receive all of our budgetary funds from private donations.
