In School?

Feeling Pressure?

An unplanned pregnancy in college or high school might bring added pressure from a boyfriend who is worried about his own future. Or possibly a parent who has different plans for you. If you’re feeling pressured by someone else to have an abortion and want someone to talk to, make an appointment to speak with one of our client advocates. Your situation is unique, but you’re not alone. In the State of California, a forced abortion is illegal. We can help you understand your legal rights, so you can make a decision that’s right for you.

Turning Point provides pregnancy help for college students, women involved with a high school pregnancy and other women who are pregnant while in school. Unexpected pregnancies are commonly associated with young women out of school, but many students are faced with crisis pregnancies throughout San Diego County.

The great irony with high school and college pregnancies is this: despite an educational environment of classrooms, lecture halls and the like, very little education is available for crisis pregnancies in school. Sure, certain credits and classes talk about women’s health issues in theory, but there is simply no substitute for practical, personal, on-point advice. That’s why Turning Point is here for any woman who is pregnant while in school.

With studies, social pressures and tight schedules, getting through high school or college is difficult enough. An unexpected pregnancy adds additional stress. But Turning Point provides a compassionate, non-judgmental place for you to talk about your dilemma.

Our college pregnancy resources include a multitude of solutions for your unique situation. Turning Point assists women who have just enrolled in college, are about to finish high school, or are halfway through a career or technical school degree – regardless of where you are on your educational journey, the Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center can guide you on an equally important journey: the next steps to take in an unexpected pregnancy.
